CINCUENTA AÑOS DE ASISTENCIA URBANA INTERNACIONAL: 1970-2020. UNA EVALUACIÓN DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA DEL COVID-19

Michael Cohen

SUMMARY

This article considers some of the premises, experiences, and performance of urban assistance over the past half century through the lens of the COVID-19 experience. It is not intended to be comprehensive in its assessment, but rather selectively examines some key ideas that heavily influenced urban policy in this period. Our challenge now is to understand how these ideas stand up in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and how these lessons might be helpful in a future recovery at the global, national, and local levels.
