El cine reconstruye Buenos Aires. Un análisis comparativo de las dos caras de la modernización urbana a través de obras cinematográficas

El artículo examina la relación entre cine y urbanismo. El objetivo es indagar cómo se representan en la configuración urbana de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en 1958 y 1968 las consecuencias que los procesos de modernización trajeron aparejadas. Para ello se analizan desde una perspectiva comparada las obras cinematográficas Buenos Aires de David Kohon y Detrás de un largo muro de Lucas Demare, ambas del año 1958, y “Semana de Buenos Aires” de Sucesos Argentinos y Erradicación de villas miseria de Ricardo Alventosa, de 1968. El núcleo central de este trabajo consiste pues en contrastar cómo se representan en el cine las distintas formas del embellecimiento y de la prosperidad de ciertas partes de la ciudad, así como el crecimiento agigantado de las villas miseria y quienes allí habitan.
