Abstract

La dinámica de urbanización de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires siguió, desde sus comienzos, un patrón de desarrollo geográfico desigual que organizó el mapa social en clave “Norte – Sur”. Sin embargo, desde la década del setenta (y con mayor intensidad, a partir del nuevo milenio) comenzaron a evidenciarse procesos que, promovidos o acompañados desde las políticas urbanas, estarían alentando transformaciones en dicho patrón: desarticulación productiva, valorización inmobiliaria, extensión de la centralidad porteña y mercantilización de los patrimonios históricos y culturales locales.
