Temporalidad política en clave republicana. Una lectura de Hannah Arendt en diálogo con John A. G. Pocock

Resumen


Las afinidades entre las interpretaciones del republicanismo moderno de J. A. G. Pocock y H. Arendt han sido señaladas por distintos intérpretes del campo de los estudios arendtianos, pero continúan sin ser suficientemente indagadas. El presente trabajo se propone realizar una contribución en este sentido. En particular, nos interesa explorar el modo en que Sobre la revolución y El momento maquiavélico abordan la particular experiencia republicana de la temporalidad política. Sostendremos que ambos autores identifican de manera afín dos núcleos problemáticos que configuran esta experiencia. Sin embargo, mostraremos también algunas singularidades del pensamiento de Arendt, que lo sitúan a distancia del republicanismo pockiano.
