La primera víctima del movimiento obrero. El discurso anarquista sobre la muerte en los albores del siglo XX en Argentina.

Resumen

El presente artículo busca indagar acerca del modo en que el anarquismo de comienzos del siglo XX en Argentina concibió el asesinato del trabajador austríaco Cosme Budislavich, producido el 20 de octubre de 1901 en el contexto de una huelga laboral en la Refinería Argentina de Azúcar de la ciudad de Rosario, y considerado como la primera víctima del movimiento obrero en el país. A través del estudio de fuentes periodísticas y otros documentos de la época, se analizan las regularidades discursivas a través de las cuales el anarquismo elaboró distintos episodios de muerte de trabajadores a los fines de comprender las continuidades y rupturas que marcó el referido suceso.

The first victim of the labor movement. The anarchist discourse about death at the dawn of the 20th century in Argentina.

This article seeks to investigate the way in which the anarchism of the early 20th century in Argentina conceived the murder of the Austrian worker Cosme Budislavich, produced on October 20, 1901 in the context of a labour strike at the Refinería Argentina de Azúcar in the city of Rosario, and considered as the first victim of the labour movement in the country. Through the study of journalistic sources and other documents of that time, we analyze the discursive regularities through which the anarchism elaborated different episodes of death of workers in order to understand the continuities and ruptures that marked the mentioned event.
