Una revisión sistemática sobre la relación entre la ruptura amorosa y el distrés psicológico
Abstract
La disolución de una relación amorosa es un evento que ha sido asociado en diversos estudios con el malestar, la reducción de la satisfacción percibida y el distrés psicológico (Simpson, 1987; Rhoades et. al., 2011). Asimismo, se ha encontrado que una proporción considerable de personas que han experimentado recientemente una ruptura amorosa presentan síntomas de depresión clínica (Mearns, 1991). Debido a esto, consideramos de gran importancia realizar una revisión sobre la relación entre una ruptura y el distrés psicológico que se deriva de ella, manifestado por diferentes síntomas y fenómenos tanto emocionales como cognitivos, físicos y conductuales. El objetivo de este artículo es realizar dicha revisión bibliográfica y sintetizar la información disponible sobre estos fenómenos.
