Money tales

Abstract

This paper explores one of the different ways that a society chooses to build its own history. The iconography of official currency in Argentina develops an historical tale that gets sense due to the interaction of underline messages. This object presents multiple elements, images and texts among others, that are connected inside a discursive network, and acquire new meanings over time.
