Abstract

From some facts of heterogeneous nature —in order of appearance: democratic recovery, building schools and careers of popular music, digitalization, development of Internet, cultural politics in the last decade— the music produced and consumed in Buenos Aires multiplied in quantity and variety than ever before. Many music were added to the traditional and acquired visibility and membership. As a counterpart, we understand that many of them live without relating to each other as autonomous spheres governed by its own logic. We will try to unravel the general and particular dynamics guiding this development.
