The journal  Debate Público. Reflexión de Trabajo Social  is a biannual electronic publication of the Social Sciences published by the Social Work Program at the University of Buenos Aires since 2011. Its goal is to create a forum for debate and the dissemination of social knowledge.

Since its inception, Public Debate has aimed to invite debate and analysis on  the public sphere  based on contributions from the professional community of Social Work in particular, and the Social Sciences in general, with the aim of contributing to its strengthening by revisiting the disputes that are constructed as such.

The configuration of the public sphere and the reflections it raises challenge Social Work as a possible angle for questioning intervention, as this debate focuses on some key aspects for interpreting the policies, institutions, and practices engaged in by different actors.
