Sentidos fotográficos: Linchamientos en la Argentina reciente

Resumen

Este artículo realiza una breve descripción del rol histórico de la fotografía dentro de los medios de comunicación con el objetivo de ubicar el papel que ésta ocupa dentro de la noticia policial. Se aborda a través de la herramienta de análisis de contenido las imágenes de linchamientos presentadas por los diarios Clarín y Página 12 durante marzo y abril de 2014 en Argentina. Estas fotografías presentan particularidades que las diferencian de otras del género policial: La peculiar disposición en que son mostrados los cuerpos, la ausencia de la seguridad estatal y los rostros mostrados y ocultados. De esto se desprenden hipótesis explicativas sobre los sentidos que circulan en torno a los linchamientos pero también sobre la inseguridad, la peligrosidad de algunos actores (y no de otros) y la justicia.

Abstract:

The article proposes to make a brief description of the historical role of photography within the media in order to locate the role that it occupies today in the police news. For this, some images of lynchings presented by Clarín and Página 12 during March and April 2014 in Argentina were analyzed through the content analysis tool. These photographs present particularities that differentiate them from other images of the police news: The centrality and the peculiar disposition in which the bodies of the subjects are shown, the absence of the figures that represent state security and the faces shown and hidden. From this poit of view, the article presents some explanatory hypothesis about the meanings that circulate in the media regarding the problem of lynching, the insecurity and the danger of some actors (and not others) and justice.
