La querella entre los antiguos y los modernos encuentra en el debate entre Leo Strauss y Alexandre Kojève un capítulo fundamental. Mientras que el primero reivindicará la racionalidad de los antiguos, el segundo será el representante del pensamiento moderno. Strauss será un filósofo judío enfrentado con
un Kojève que asumirá el papel del sabio cristiano secularizado. La hipótesis de este trabajo es que la escatología política es la clave para entender la diferencia entre uno y otro.

Abstract
The quarrel between the ancients and the moderns has a fundamental chapter in the debate between Leo Strauss and Alexandre Kojève. While Strauss vindicates the rationality of the ancients, Kojève represents the modern thought. Strauss is a Jewish philosopher faced with a Kojève who assumes the role of a
secularized Christian wise. The hypothesis of this article is that eschatology is the key to understanding the difference between the two authors.
