La singularidad de la política, lo político y la democracia: Jacques Rancière y Chantal Mouffe

¿Posee la democracia contemporánea alguna característica distintiva? ¿Puede ella diferenciarse de un modelo teórico político liberal y capitalista, que se habría ido afirmando desde la caída del Muro de Berlín? ¿Es posible que la política democrática se construya como pensamiento crítico frente a la
pérdida de sentido del comunismo? Este escrito se propone visitar algunas reflexiones de la Teoría Política actual identificadas con el postmarxismo que dialogan con su propia tradición, discuten con quienes invitan a abandonar la democracia por su carácter formal, y entablan una fuerte controversia con quienes diluyen la democracia en el liberalismo político. En este camino, se construyen perspectivas teórico políticas que redefinen las tradiciones teóricas y los conceptos de política y de político. La mirada se posa sobre dos teóricos de la política disímiles, Jacques Rancière y Chantal Mouffe, cuya conexión vale a condición de encontrarle la ausencia de teleología.

Abstract
Does contemporary democracy have its own characteristics? Can democracy be distinguished from the liberal and capitalist theoretical model that gained force after the fall of the Berlin Wall? Is it possible for democratic politics to become a critical theory against the loss of meaning of communist thought? The aim of this article is to revisit some of the reflections of the current strand in Political Theory that, identifying itself with Postmarxism, has entered a critical debate with its own tradition, with those who believe that democracy should be abandoned due to its formalism, and with those who melt democracy with political liberalism. Throughout these discussions, theoretico-political approaches are built that redefine both theoretical traditions and the concepts of politics and the political. We will focus on two strikingly different political theorists, Jacques Rancière y Chantal Mouffe, who can be connected due to the absence of a theology in their thought.
