Autocrítica y republicanismo. El momento maquiaveliano en las Provincias Unidas de los Países Bajos en el siglo XVII

Resumen


En el presente estudio buscaremos reponer, en primer lugar, los principales postulados de la metodología de la historia intelectual de estudios de textos. A continuación, realizaremos un repaso crítico de nuestro estudio sobre el republicanismo neerlandés realizado en La República de Spinoza (2023) con el objeto de señalar una serie de errores que se desprenden de una ejecución limitada e incorrecta de los preceptos de la historia intelectual. Luego, en el tercer apartado, procederemos con nuestra propuesta de analizar la presencia o ausencia de motivos republicanos en dos obras seleccionadas de Spinoza (el Tratado teológico- político y el Tratado político) haciendo uso de las valencias del concepto de momento maquiaveliano elaborado por J. G. A. Pocock.
