Resumen

El flourishing (florecimiento) es una teoría desarrollada por Keyes(2002). Florecer significa vivir dentro de un rango óptimo del funcionamiento humano, uno que connota la bondad, generatividad, el crecimiento y la capacidad de recuperación. Esta definición se basa en el trabajo pionero que mide la salud mental en términos positivos en lugar de por la ausencia de enfermedad mental (Keyes, Shmotkin, & Ryff, 2002). El presente trabajo se propone, a partir de la búsqueda en distintas bases de datos, como Readalyc, Latindex, Pubmed, Scielo y PsycInfo, presentar una revisión histórica y de las herramientas que han sido utilizadas para evaluar el Flourishing.
