Religión, espiritualidad y bienestar subjetivo: un estudio sobre la centralidad de los acontecimientos y el miedo a la muerte en inmigrantes judíos argentinos en Israel

Este estudio analizó la relación entre religión, espiritualidad, centralidad de eventos y temor a la muerte con el bienestar subjetivo (SWB) en inmigrantes judíos argentinos residentes en Israel. Veintiséis adultos completaron escalas validadas de satisfacción con la vida y afecto, trascendencia espiritual, involucramiento y afrontamiento religioso, centralidad de eventos y temor a la muerte (propia/de otros). Dado el tamaño muestral (N = 26), los intervalos de confianza se obtuvieron mediante remuestreo bootstrap. La espiritualidad se asoció positivamente con la satisfacción vital, y el involucramiento religioso se correlacionó con espiritualidad y afrontamiento religioso. El temor a la propia muerte se vinculó negativamente con el afecto positivo y positivamente con el afecto negativo; el temor a la muerte de otros también se asoció con mayor afecto negativo. La centralidad de eventos no mostró asociaciones significativas con indicadores de SWB. Los hallazgos, de carácter exploratorio por la muestra de conveniencia y el diseño transversal, sugieren intervenciones centradas en el sentido y educación sobre la muerte para promover la salud mental de inmigrantes.Referencias
