Abstract

This editorial situates the second issue of the tenth volume of PSocial within contemporary academic and social debates shaping social psychology in Latin America and the international sphere. Using an analytical framework that links regional transformations in scientific systems, high-complexity sociopolitical conflicts, and emerging theoretical and methodological challenges, the text examines the journal’s role as an editorial entity committed to empirically grounded, critical, and contextually situated scholarship. It further reviews the contributions of the thematic dossier and the articles arising from the regular call, highlighting the diversity of approaches, methodologies, and contexts addressed. Finally, the editorial discusses agendas and future directions aimed at strengthening regional academic cooperation, advancing knowledge systematization, and consolidating a situated social psychology with interdisciplinary reach and social relevance.
