Bibliometric Analysis of Published Works on the Concept of Self-Esteem in the Psocial Journal

The concept known as self-esteem is considered the evaluative component of each person's perception of themselves and is one of the most extensively studied concepts in both the psychological and psychosocial disciplines. This research presents a bibliometric analysis of articles from the journal {Psocial} - Journal of Research in Social Psychology related to self-esteem throughout its ten years of publication (2014-2024). A total of 16 articles were found, which were analyzed considering categories such as temporal distribution, thematic area, origin, collaboration between authors, and keywords. The results reveal a greater production in the journal's early years (2015-2017). Almost 40% of the articles consisted of quantitative empirical works, which implies a considerable contribution to the development of field research. Among the variables with which the concept of self-esteem has been most closely related are: personality, adolescence, self-concept, family, and spirituality. On the other hand, the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) stands out as a leading producer of articles, as the institution hosting Psocial. Collaborations with several foreign universities are also notable, suggesting a process of internationalization for the journal.References
