About the Journal

Cuadernos de Marte is a semiannual journal dedicated to the Sociology of War.
The journal welcomes contributions from scholars across the humanities and social sciences (including Sociology, History, Communication, Political Science, Anthropology, International Relations, Economics, and Psychology). Adopting diverse conceptual frameworks, it publishes research on war and armed conflict, encompassing conventional warfare, civil wars, guerrilla movements, insurgency, terrorism, and political violence.
Accordingly, the journal considers submissions that analyze specific conflicts or their individual dimensions—including participating actors, combat methods, recruitment strategies, propaganda, and political interests. It also explores the imprint of conflict on collective memory and its reception within the scholarly community (such as the impact of war on social theory and varying authorial approaches to armed conflict).
