Trip notes to think the exile

Abstract

The article´s purposes is to think on the ethical and political imperatives that weigh on the researcher when she focuses on the recent past memories of those who experienced the exile during the last military dictatorship in Argentina. In this respect, the author formulates three problems related to the boarding of the main characters’ accounts. First, the use of ‘exile’ and ‘exiled’ categories are critically analyzed. Then, it is dealt with the problem of the interpretation the researcher makes of the exiled people’s experiences. Finally it’s developed a reflexive analysis on how getting together actor’s perceptions with the own empirical verification of
the researcher.
