Apoyo social y autoestima. Un abordaje desde el modelo y la teoría de los cinco factores

Abstract


El modelo y la teoría de la personalidad han permitido comprender el modo en que los rasgos de la personalidad interactúan con las influencias externas en la formación de características adaptativas como la autoestima. A partir de realizar un búsqueda bibliográfica en bases de datos nacionales e internacionales como Psycinfo, Latindex y Scielo, el presente trabajo se propone, en primer lugar incluir la espiritualidad dentro de este enfoque. En segundo lugar, integrar la noción de apoyo social en el marco de la teoría de los cinco factores, considerándolo como una de las influencias externas propuestas por el modelo. Y finalmente se propone discutir la relación entre los rasgos de la personalidad, incluyendo a la espiritualidad como un sexto factor y el apoyo social, comprendido como una influencia externa, en el desarrollo de la autoestima.
