Maltrato infantil, centralidad de los eventos traumáticos y su relación con la autoestima en el marco del modelo de los cinco grandes factores de la personalidad

Abstract


El Maltrato Infantil (MI) se constituye como una problemática grave, cuyo estudio ha cobrado relevancia en las últimas décadas, ya que, aunque ha estado presente a lo largo de la historia, fue parcialmente invisibilizado, considerado como simples prácticas disciplinatorias. El MI, según indican diversos estudios se relaciona ciertos factores de la personalidad, tal cómo han sido descritos en el FFM y el FFT, al tiempo que impactan negativamente en la autoestima y la espiritualidad, entendida esta última como un sexto factor de la personalidad, según proponen algunos autores. En relación a esta problemática  se han observado distintas investigaciones que relacionan al MI con síntomas del Trastorno Estrés Postraumático y el Trastorno Depresivo Mayor. En relación a estos desarrollos, el presente trabajo se propone realizar una revisión bibliográfica en las bases de datos Redalyc; Scielo; Latindex, PubMed y ERIC con el objetivo de integrar los resultados de las investigaciones que asocia el MI  a la autoestima, la centralidad de los eventos traumáticos,  al estrés postraumático y la depresión  en el marco del Modelo y la Teoría de los Cinco Factores de la personalidad. Los resultados permiten concluir que el FFM y el FFT constituyen una propuesta teórica robusta que posibilita comprender las relaciones entre los constructos mencionados.
